But confidence matters even more. Finding a pilot, flight attendant, or Armed Security Officer is only part of the hiring process. The real work begins with reviewing certificates, medicals, recurrent training, resumes, and ensuring everything matches before assigning a trip or extending an offer. That's exactly why we built [CertiFly™](https://www.crewblast.co/certifly). The CertiFly™ Tag displayed on a CrewBlast profile tells operators that the crew member has successfully completed multiple layers of identity and qualification intelligence before ever appearing as a recommended candidate. Rather than simply storing documents, CertiFly™ actively analyzes, validates, and organizes them, helping operators review qualified candidates more efficiently while maintaining their own internal approval process. # Identity Verified Through CLEAR® The first step in becoming CertiFly™ Qualified is identity verification. Every CertiFly™ profile begins with biometric verification through our partnership with [CLEAR®](http://www.clearme.com). Using facial biometrics combined with a government-issued photo ID, CLEAR verifies that the individual creating the profile is the legitimate owner of that identity. This provides operators with an additional layer of confidence that the documents uploaded belong to the verified individual. Once identity has been confirmed, CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence begins its comprehensive review. # AI Qualification Intelligence™ CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence doesn't simply check whether documents exist, it evaluates whether they make sense together. Each uploaded document is analyzed against every other document to identify inconsistencies, expired qualifications, missing information, or discrepancies that could affect a crew member's eligibility. Rather than performing isolated checks, CertiFly™ builds a complete qualification package by validating that every critical document supports the others. # Pilot Certificate Verification ![CertiFly by CrewBlast](https://www.crewblast.co/hs-fs/hubfs/CertiFly%20by%20CrewBlast.png?width=345&height=750&name=CertiFly%20by%20CrewBlast.png)CertiFly™ reviews both the front and back of every FAA Pilot Certificate. During this process, CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence verifies: - The pilot's name matches across all uploaded documents. - Addresses remain consistent throughout the qualification package. - Certificate information is valid. - Type ratings listed on the back of the certificate match the aircraft qualifications selected within the CrewBlast profile. This prevents profiles from advertising qualifications that are unsupported by the pilot's actual FAA certificates. # FAA FAR 61.58 Validation Holding a type rating alone does not necessarily indicate current qualification. For aircraft requiring recurrent proficiency, CertiFly™ cross-verifies every listed type rating against the pilot's uploaded FAA FAR 61.58 Record of Training. The system confirms: - A corresponding Record of Training exists. - The training applies to the aircraft type listed. - The recurrent training has been completed within the previous 12 months. For example, if a pilot lists themselves as qualified in the Gulfstream IV but their most recent recurrent training occurred three years ago, that qualification will not receive CertiFly™ approval for registered operators until current documentation is provided. # Medical Certificate Verification The FAA Medical Certificate also undergoes validation. CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence verifies: - Medical certificate validity - Certificate expiration - Matching names - Matching addresses - Consistency with the FAA Pilot Certificate - Consistency with the CrewBlast profile This provides another level of confidence before a profile is presented to an operator. # Record of Training Analysis ![Pilot Certification System](https://www.crewblast.co/hs-fs/hubfs/Pilot%20Certification%20System.jpg?width=384&height=750&name=Pilot%20Certification%20System.jpg)Every uploaded Record of Training is scanned using CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence. Rather than simply confirming that a document has been uploaded, CertiFly™ evaluates whether the training actually supports the aircraft qualifications listed within the crew member's profile. If a pilot indicates they are qualified on a Gulfstream IV, Challenger 604, Citation XLS, or any other aircraft, CertiFly™ verifies that the corresponding recurrent training documentation demonstrates current qualification. This helps operators avoid reviewing candidates whose documentation no longer supports the qualifications displayed on their profile. # Resume Verification Resumes also become part of the CertiFly™ qualification process. The system compares: - Name - Address - Personal identifying information against every other uploaded document to ensure consistency throughout the entire qualification package. This additional validation helps identify discrepancies before an operator ever reviews the candidate. # Automatic Flight Time Extraction One of the newest capabilities within CertiFly™ is intelligent flight time extraction. Instead of manually entering aircraft totals into a profile, CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence scans uploaded flight records and automatically extracts applicable flight times. Those totals are then organized and added directly to the crew member's CrewBlast profile, reducing manual entry while helping maintain more accurate experience records. # Built for CrewBlast OS While [CrewBlast has become known for rapidly sourcing contract pilots, flight attendants, and Armed Security Officers](https://www.crewblast.co/), CertiFly™ is also a foundational component of CrewBlast OS. CrewBlast OS allows operators to recruit both contract and full-time crew members from a single platform. Whether an operator is filling a two-day contract trip, hiring a permanent Chief Pilot, recruiting a full-time Flight Attendant, or building an entire flight department, CertiFly™ helps ensure candidates arrive with an intelligently reviewed and organized qualification package. # Intelligent Candidate Matching in Seconds Traditional recruiting platforms rely on candidates logging into websites or checking email before they even know an opportunity exists. CrewBlast was designed differently. When an operator posts a position within CrewBlast OS, our Smart AI Technology immediately identifies qualified candidates based on aircraft qualifications, location, certifications, availability, and numerous additional qualification criteria. Qualified crew members receive instant mobile notifications through the CrewBlast app, allowing interested candidates to respond within seconds, not hours or days. This dramatically reduces hiring timelines while presenting operators with candidates who have already completed the CertiFly™ qualification process. # Designed to Streamline Review-Not Replace It One of the most important things to understand about CertiFly™ is what it is, and what it isn't. CertiFly™ does not replace an operator's hiring process or document review. Instead, it helps organize, validate, and intelligently review qualification documents before they reach the operator. Every hiring decision remains with the operator. CertiFly™ simply reduces administrative workload by identifying inconsistencies, confirming document relationships, and organizing qualification information into a clear, easy-to-review package. # The Meaning Behind the CertiFly™ Tag When you see the CertiFly™ Tag on a CrewBlast profile, it represents much more than a collection of uploaded documents. It signifies that the crew member has successfully completed biometric identity verification through CLEAR® and has undergone CertiFly™ AI Qualification Intelligence, where pilot certificates, recurrent training, medical certificates, resumes, and supporting documentation have been analyzed for consistency, validity, and currency. For operators, the CertiFly™ Tag provides another layer of confidence before reviewing a candidate. For crew members, it demonstrates that their qualifications have been intelligently organized and validated. And for CrewBlast, it represents the next evolution of aviation staffing, combining biometric identity verification, artificial intelligence, and intelligent qualification analysis to help operators hire faster, review smarter, and make more informed staffing decisions. ## Related posts [![](https://www.crewblast.co/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/Aviation%20Operations%20Control%20Room%20with%20Dynamic%20Dashboard%20and%20Team%20Discussion.png?height=200&name=Aviation%20Operations%20Control%20Room%20with%20Dynamic%20Dashboard%20and%20Team%20Discussion.png)](https://www.crewblast.co/blog/your-flight-department-isnt-missing-crew.-its-missing-infrastructure) ## [Your Flight Department Isn't Missing Crew.
